Dart Transit Company announces Contractors of the Mon th

Eagan, Minnesota – Dart Transit Company announces its November and December 2006 Contractors of the Month.  Larry Hamilton at the Dallas Operating Center and Monika Jacobsen at the Eagan Operating Center are the November Contractors of the Month.  The December Contractors of the Month are Peggie Glaspy at the Dallas Operating Center and Dana Ellefson at the Eagan Operating Center.  Contractors of the Month are recognized for their on-time performance, dependability, and safety record.

Larry Hamilton from Baltimore, Maryland, has contracted with Dart since 2002.  Hamilton owns and operates a 2003 Freightliner with a Dart “National” contract.  “It’s an honor to be Contractor of the Month,” he said.  “It caught me by surprise.  I enjoy what I do and I just try to do a good job.”

Monika Jacobsen from Randolph, Minnesota, has been in the trucking industry 10 years and has contracted with Dart since 2005.  Jacobsen owns and operates a 2005 International with a Dart “National” contract.  “I was shocked to be Contractor of the Month,” she said.  “It was the last thing I expected.  I got messages from a lot of people at Dart saying ‘Congratulations.’  It was nice.”

Peggie Glaspy lives in Butler, Alabama.  She has been in the trucking industry since 1995, and has contracted with Dart since 2005.  Glaspy owns and operates a 2001 Freightliner with a Dart “National” contract.  “Peggie is an excellent contractor,” says Ron Salmon, Dart Fleet Manager.  “She runs a lot of miles and delivers on time 100 percent of the time.”

Dana Ellefson lives in Zumbrota, Minnesota.  He has been in the trucking industry for more than 20 years and has contracted with Dart for 12 years.  Ellefson owns and operates a 1999 Kenworth with one of Dart’s dedicated contracts.  “I’m honored to be Contractor of the Month,” he said.  “You have to have dedication to be an owner operator, and your truck has to be priority.”

Dart Contractors of the Month receive certificates and gifts from Dart’s “Pro Shop.”  Dart Contractors of the Year are selected from its Contractors of the Month.
